Unlike many basic pivot scripts, Pivot Tools keeps the object’s position visually fixed, even after modifying the pivot — ideal for clean and precise workflows.
This script is completely free to use. If you'd like to support the author, you can purchase the extended license!
Run the script by dragging it into the 3ds Max viewport or executing it via the MAXScript Editor.
A dialog titled "Pivot Tools" will appear.
Use the “Select Objects” button to highlight and lock in your current selection.
The script shows the current count of selected objects.
Choose one of the two pivot adjustment options:
“Pivot to Bottom Center” moves the pivot to the lowest center point of the object’s bounding box.
“Pivot to Center” moves the pivot to the exact geometric center.
The object stays in its original position visually — only the pivot changes internally.
